Trust, methodology & changelog
InsiderScope publishes its scoring methodology, calibration process, and data lineage. Every InsiderScore carries a version, a provider, and a prompt-template ID. Horizons are indexed in trading days (entry = filing date, exit = td 1 + h), never calendar days.
Data sources
Primary regulator feeds only: SEC EDGAR (Form 4), FCA (PDMR), BaFin (Direktgeschäfte), AFM (Registermeldingen), Finansinspektionen (PDMR), FIN-FSA, Finanstilsynet (Norway and Denmark), AMF (Déclarations dirigeants), CNMV (Comunicaciones de directivos), ASIC / ASX (Appendix 3Y), and the Canadian Securities Administrators (SEDI).
What we do NOT do
We do not offer investment advice, do not label filings "buy" or "sell", do not use traffic-light colour semantics, do not gamify with streaks or leaderboards, and do not claim secret access. Everything is descriptive and historical per MiFID II Art. 44.
Methodology FAQ
How is the InsiderScore computed?
A versioned scoring engine (currently v3.0, LightGBM) blends role weight, transaction size relative to insider history, cluster context, and historical calibration into a 0–100 score. Every score row records its version, provider, prompt template ID and price-lineage run ID.
Are horizons calendar days or trading days?
Trading days. Entry is td 1 (first close on or after the filing date); exit is td 1 + h. Previously published calendar-day labels overstated elapsed market time by roughly 31% and have been corrected.
How often is scoring recalibrated?
New scorer versions are shadow-run in parallel, evaluated against the Charter §2 gate, and only promoted after a super-admin action. Drift is monitored every 15 minutes; the auto-rollback kill-switch defaults off.
Does InsiderScope give investment advice?
No: descriptive historical analytics only, per MiFID II Art. 44.
